Rehab process has already started and will continue to give updates. Love you all,"Andreescu announced.

What happened to Andreescu in Miami?
On Monday, Andreescu suffered a devastating injury during her Miami Open round-of-16 match against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
While attempting to run down the ball, Andreescu collapsed on the court and immediately started screaming in pain. Just moments after the injury occurred, Andreescu was heard yelling "not again" and "I have never felt this kind of pain before." The medical rushed onto the court to help Andreescu, who received treatment for a couple of minutes.
Then, Andreescu was assisted into a wheelchair and exited the court with tears in her eyes. Andreescu lost the first set against Alexandrova but was up 2-0 in the second set when the injury occurred. After the match was over, Alexandrova said she was devastated for Andreescu.
"I’m just really sorry that it happened to [Andreescu]. Seeing her on the court in so much pain, it’s just painful to watch. You cannot help, you can do nothing, which is terrible. I think she’s going to be fine soon, and I’m wishing for her speedy recovery.
The first set was super tough and great, and it probably could be a pretty good match for both of us, but unfortunately [Andreescu’s injury] happened," Alexandrova said after the match. It remains to be seen how long will Andreescu be out.
