Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka took to Twitter to reveal her admiration for Carlos Alcaraz, saying the 20-year-old Spaniard is "that guy for real." On Sunday, Alcaraz became the first-ever player to beat Novak Djokovic in a Wimbledon final.
Going into this year's Wimbledon final, Djokovic hadn't been beaten at The Championships since 2017. But Alcaraz delivered a major performance to beat Djokovic 1-6 7-6 (6) 6-1 3-6 6-4. "Alcaraz is that guy fr (for real)," Alcaraz tweeted.

Osaka shows admiration for Alcaraz
Alcaraz, who turned 20 in May, is now a two-time Grand Slam champion. Last year, Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in the US Open final to lift his first Grand Slam title.
10 months later, Alcaraz captured his second Grand Slam title at the most iconic tennis tournament in the world. After winning Wimbledon, Alcaraz admitted it was simply a dream come true for him. “It’s a dream come true for me.
As I said before, of course it’s great to win, but even if I had lost, I would be really proud of myself with this amazing run. Making history in this beautiful tournament, playing a final against a legend of our sport.
It’s a dream come true to be able to play on these stages. It’s amazing for a boy, 20 years old, to reach this kind of situation really fast. I’m really, really proud of myself and the team that I have. The work we put in every day, to be able to lift this," Alcaraz said after winning Wimbledon.
In the fifth set of the Wimbledon final, Alcaraz earned the first break in the third game to open a 2-1 lead. When Alcaraz went up by a break in the fifth set, he knew everything was in his hands. But Alcaraz didn't crumble under the pressure as he was able to hold on to his service for the remainder of the match and seal a five-set win over Djokovic.
