Simona Halep tips US Open comeback with training video

Simona Halep surprised her fans with a video showing her training hard in the gym on the same day she posted a short Instagram Story showing her practicing her serve on a hard court.

Simona Halep started training on hard courts earlier this year.

In June, she trained with Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.

Also, this month Halep has trained with Caroline Wozniacki.

The Danish player's brother Patrik disclosed on Danish TV that his sister, who recently announced her comeback to professional tennis, practiced with Simona in Monte Carlo before the Romanian headed to London for the doping case hearing.

The verdict for the Romanian's hearing is expected to arrive these days. "She was heard today, but she will be heard tomorrow as well. In about two weeks we should have a first verdict. The moment that was delayed has happened.

Together with the lawyers, Simona presented her arguments. We will see what the decisions will be. Generally, two-year suspensions are given here, then the decisions are appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. They are generally halved there.

The term of provisional suspension is reduced, and that provisional suspension is from November 2022," Digi Sport's Dragos Suciu revealed at the end of June.

Simona Halep is on US Open's entry list

Another breadcrumb that points toward a comeback from the former Wimbledon champion is US Open's decision to include Simona Halep in their entry list, although with the mention she is "provisionally suspended". Halep's last official match took place last year at the US Open, when she lost against Daria Snigur.
