Nicki Kyrgios reacted in a rude way to the news that the ATP and WTA Tours are set to discuss a potential merger deal later this month. "Does that mean we merge the draws?????" Kyrgios asked on X. "Genuine questions," Nick followed up.

Per The Telegraph, ATP and WTA leaders are going to meet somewhere around the end of September to discuss a potential merger as Saudi Arabia's interest in investing in tennis heightens.

Through his comment, Kyrgios wonders whether the merger would mean the combination of men's and women's draws, which is out of the question. Some fans on X social media platform taxed Kyrgios for his comment.

  • "Grow up a bit, Nick."
  • "This is an unprofessional comment."
  • "Stop it right now, Nick."

Navratilova said it's unfair for women to compete with men

Martina Navratilova, in her continuous speech gainst trans athletes, has pointed out that men and women should not compete together because of men's physical advantages.

"It's definitely unfair for women to have to compete against people who, biologically, are still men. I'm happy to address a transgender woman in any form I like, but I wouldn't be happy to compete against her," Navratilova told the Sunday Times.

Navratilova also brought the concept of patriarchy into the discussion. "Hey, USTA: women's tennis is not for failed men athletes, whatever their age. Would this be allowed at the US Open this month? Only with ID? I don't think so… It is patriarchy for biological men to insist on the right to enter spaces created for women.

How hard is that to understand? It is patriarchy for biological men to insist on the right to compete in the women's category in sports."
