Paula Badosa has told her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas that he made her proud with his Antwerp doubles final win with brother Petros. On Sunday, the Tsitsipas brothers won their first title as a pair in Antwerp after beating Ariel Behar and Adam Pavlasek 6-7 (5) 6-4 10-8 in the doubles final.
With that win, Stefanos, 25, and 23-year-old Petros accomplished their goal of landing a title together. "Spending time with family on and off the court is priceless," the Tsitsipas brothers captioned their joint Instagram post.
In the comment section, Badosa wrote: "Proud of you (heart emoji)."
Badosa hopes to win a Grand Slam together with Tsitsipas
Badosa and Tsitsipas, both 25 years old, were spotted for the first time in May and their relationship was publicly confirmed in early June.
Badosa and Tsitsipas seem to be enjoying a very happy relationship and they have made it pretty clear multiple times that their goal is to achieve big things together. Specifically, Badosa and Tsitsipas would love to win the same Grand Slam tournament and become Major champions together.
“Yeah, well, I was injured in Australia. I watched his match, the final. Of course, I had jet lag because I was in Spain. I decided to watch that match. Surprising, because I never dream about tennis players, but I dreamt about him that night, that we were both winning the Australian Open.
Then it was like we were having a very romantic moment, but I'm not going to explain. I'm just going to leave it there,” Badosa shared after her Wimbledon first-round win. Unfortunately for Badosa, she was forced to miss three out of four Grand Slams this year.
On the other side, Tsitsipas' best Slam result of the 2023 season came at the Australian Open, where he made the final before losing to Novak Djokovic. In 2024, Badosa and Tsitsipas will be hoping to be healthy and do great at the Grand Slam level.
