Asked by a fan what career he would have pursued if he hadn't been a tennis player, Andrey Rublev made a pretty obvious choice given his singing reputation. "If I would not be a tennis player, for sure I'd be in some rock band playing guitar, doing shits.

I would be in music. When I was a kid, I was learning guitar and I liked it a lot, so for sure I would go in music," Rublev said.

Rublev can be quite wild at parties.

He showed it after winning the Bastad tournament this year. While Andrey was celebrated in a nightclub that was just playing Queen's "We Are The Champions", he started doing pull-ups in the middle of the club.

Rublev had a band

Andrey Rublev was part of the band Summer Afternoon when he was younger.

There is actually a video of the band, including Rublev, singing a cover of One Direction's "Steal My Girl". Andrey Rublev is going to play Novak Djokovic in the Paris semifinals. He may be a threat to the Serbian since he claims he's feeling better and better.

“I’m just playing really good at the moment, last couple of months and I’m feeling better and better. It’s not about Masters or any other tournaments in general, I played well last week in Vienna, I played great in Shanghai.

So I don’t know, since US Open I’m playing really well and just keeping this level and somehow I’m improving and I don’t know, we’ll see what’s going to happen next," Rublev said.
