"The International Criminal Court has announced a new gender eligibility regulation, following a scientific review process, to protect the integrity of the international women's game and player safety." With this new legislation, the International Cricket Council will prevent transgender athletes who have passed male puberty from competing in women's cricket matches.

This new rule found the support of former tennis legend Martina Navratilova, who however on X lashed out against those who tried to prevent the approval of this new rule. An associate producer for Sky Sports harshly criticized the International Cricket Council's new rule, writing a harsh post, to which Navratilova responded with an equally harsh post on X: "Another mansplainer...

ffs..." But how has this rule changed in cricket? Perhaps also because of Canadian Danielle McGahey, who became the first transgender cricketer in history to participate in an official international match in September 2023.

McGahey, born in Australia, moved to Canada in 2020 and completed a transition male to female medical in 2021. Martina Navratilova's crusade against transgender atheltes in sport Only some months ago I told you about another story involved a Navratilova's harsh X post.

The transgender Meghan Cortez-Fields achieved a record in women's swimming after competing in men's competitions in past years. Cortez-Fields broke the school record for the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.22, she won the 200-yard medley and individual and took second in the 200-yard butterfly.

Navratilova attacked her on X, by writing: "Transgender swimmer at New Jersey college,Meghan Cortez-Fields, smashes women's 100 yard butterfly record after competing in men's team for three years - I will keep saying this over and over- this is wrong and completely fair and quite frankly a mockery!"
