Martina Navratilova's battle against former US President Donald Trump is not over yet and continues with posts on X. The former legendary US tennis player harshly criticized Trump for his positions regarding anti-immigrant policies, during an election rally in Iowa. Navratilova called Trump himself the disease.

Trump is the candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, and is trying to bring the women and men of the country to his side, organizing rallies and press conferences across the USA. During his speech in Iowa, Trump said: "That is our border. We welcome people from prisons. We welcome people from mental institutions. We welcome murderers and drug lords. We welcome people who are very, very sick. With diseases that will be widespread. Throughout our nation."

Navratilova trashed Trump on X, writing: "This alarmist is the DISEASE."

Martina Navratilova's battle against Donald Trump

It's not the first time that Navratilova uses X to express her opinion on Trump. Navratilova has often attacked and criticized Trump for his controversial political views and his statements.

Some days ago, for example, she called him a psychopath without empathy, following the statements of the former president of the United States and Republican presidential candidate on the recent school shooting, in Iowa.

"Psychopaths don't feel empathy. This is who (Trump) is," Martina wrote on X, answering a post of @JonBowzerBauman X account.

Navratilova attacked Trump for the words that the former US president had reserved for American journalist and author E. Jean Carroll. Trump has requested to postpone his upcoming trial, where he is accused of defaming Carrol. His request rejected by the court. After his appeal was denied, Trump, through Truth Social, shared over 30 posts criticizing Carroll for suing him.

The incident occurred on Thursday 4 January at Perry High School, when a 17-year-old boy killed a child, killed 5 students and the Principal, before committing suicide.

Trump downplayed the tragedy, saying: "I want to send our support and deepest condolences to the victims and families affected by yesterday's terrible school shooting in Perry, Iowa. To the entire community: We love you, we pray for you, and we ask God to really heal and comfort the whole state and the pain that you are feeling.

This is something very unique to your state. We are truly with you, as much as anyone can be. It is a very terrible thing that has happened. And it's just terrible to see this happen. It's just terrible. So amazing to see it here. But, we have to get through it. We have to move forward."
