Jelena Ostapenko seemingly got pretty annoyed with Ons Jabeur's husband Karim Kamoun's loud cheering as she let him hear it after winning a game in the second set.

Jabeur, seeded at No. 8, came out firing against ninth-seeded Ostapenko, winning the opener without a single game lost.

After getting bageled in the first set, Ostapenko also lost her serve in the opening game of the second set. Down by a set and a break, Ostapenko managed to get the break back in the second game and then also held to her next service games to open a 3-2 second-set lead.

Moments after sealing the fifth game, Ostapenko turned to Kamoun and Jabeur's box with a strong reaction.

Ostapenko couldn't pull off a comeback against Jabeur

In the first set, Jabeur absolutely dominated Ostapenko as the Latvian didn't have a single game or break point. As mentioned above, Jabeur also started the second set with a break but Ostapenko quickly erased that.

After winning the fifth game for a 3-2 lead and delivering a reaction to Jabeur's box, Ostapenko pished the Tunisian to a deuce in the following game but didn't earn any break points. In the eighth game, Ostapenko had a break point chance which could have given her a 5-3 lead - but she failed to convert.

After saving a break point in the eighth game, Jabeur broke Ostapenko in the critical moments to open a 5-4 lead. Serving for the match in the 10th game, Jabeur realized her first match point to complete a two-set win over Ostapenko.

In the second set, Ostapenko definitely played better and had her chances to potentially force a decider but ultimately it didn't happen.

Ostapenko may have lost to Jabeur but she is still not done in Madrid as she still has a Madrid doubles quarterfinal match on Tuesday as she and Lyudmyla Kichenok play against Su-Wei Hsieh and Elise Mertens.

It remains to be seen if Ostapenko can win it all with Kichenok and leave Madrid with at least the doubles title.
