This also happens at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia and there is no peace for a tournament that has seen many problems afflict it during its two weeks. The matches were suspended on Court Nicola Pietrangeli and on Court 12 due to protests by a group of environmentalists.

A man and a woman wearing reflective jackets invaded the court during the match between Madison Keys and Sorana Cirstea, throwing confetti, spreading paint and interrupting the match which is currently still suspended.

The same would have happened on Camp 12 with dynamics yet to be ascertained.

What makes the situation even more stable is the presence of two other activists in the stands who cemented their feet on the marble of the steps. According to the latest news, it should be the climate activist group called Ultima Generazione (Last Generation - ed), already in action in Rome in the last few hours to demonstrate and protest.

Two protests that started at the same time and which created some difficulties for both the athletes and the numerous spectators present at the Foro Italico.

However, matches should resume shortly thanks to the work of security.
