Contrary to what he had leaked in the last few hours, it seems that Jannik Sinner's hip injury is more serious than expected. The doctors at Juventus J-Medical in Turin would have advised the young Italian to be cautious, advising him against participating in the Roland Garros. However, it would seem that Sinner himself has a different opinion: the young Italian would like to try to do everything to play the Parisian Slam.

The 22-year-old's health conditions are not serious, but would most likely force him to miss the Roland Garros. The hip problem stopped his rise in a so far almost perfect 2024. The tennis player is now at a standstill and is working at J-Medical in Turin to recover his best condition. Needless to say, the goal was to take the court at Roland Garros, an event that could give him first place in the world rankings.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport said Sinner's doctors above all want to prevent the hip inflammation from becoming chronic causing long-term problems, which could seriously jeopardize his career. Sinner will leave Turin tomorrow and will make a decision together with his staff but at the moment his presence at the Roland Garros is more in doubt than ever. If not, Sinner would return to the court for the grass season directly in Halle, a tournament scheduled for June 17th.

Among other things, Roland Garros is a very tough tournament, which is played three sets out of five on a surface that can lead to major efforts. It would be absolutely counterproductive given Jannik's situation.
