World number 16 Roberto Bautista Agut has hired Javier Piles as his new coach. Piles is better known for his 15 year stunt as David Ferrer's coach which saw him rise to three in the world as well as reaching the final of the French Open in 2013.
They pair ended their coaching agreement in December last year (read more here). 26 year old Bautista Agut is experiencing his most successful season this year to date with two titles which has catapulted him to a career rankings high of 16.
He won his first ever title on grass in S-Hertogenbosch with a three sets win over Benjamin Becker in the final (read more here). Then more recently he won his second title in Stuttgart by beating Lukas Rosol. In addition Bautista Agut has so far produced wins over top 20 player's Juan Martin Del Potro (Austrailian Open), Tomas Berdych (Indian Wells) and Fabio Fognini (Stuttgart) this year.
This is yet to be any formal comment by Piles or Bautista Agut on their new partnership. It is understood that they will start working together at next weeks Rogers Cup where Bautista Agut will be seeded. Click to page 2 for some video's of Bautista Agut's best moments so far this year
