Tennis - US Open champion Marin Cilic returned home to a hero's welcome in Croatia, more than a week after winning his first Grand Slam singles title in New York. Cilic defeated Kei Nishikori last Monday to become the first Croatian since Goran Ivanisevic in 2001 to win a Grand Slam singles title.
After winning the US Open, Cilic headed to Netherlands for the Davis Cup World Group play-off tie which the Croats managed to win 3-2, thanks largely to the efforts of Cilic who won the doubles rubber on Saturday and then the deciding fifth rubber on Sunday.
Here's a look at some of the pictures from his welcome in Croatia which attracted more than 20,000 fans on to the streets.
