Swiss tennis player Michael Lammer, former World no. 150, announced his retirement from tennis after being elimination in the doubles first round at Indian Wells. Lammer had partnered with Roger Federer and the team lost to Marcin Matkowski and Nenad Zimonjic in the super tie break, 9-11.
Lammer, who was last ranked 531 in the world, had been part of the Swiss team that won the Davis Cup last season. He was also a member of this year's Swiss Davis Cup that lost to Belgium in the first round, last week, playing the first single, and doubles tie.
