Twitter has become a reality among sportsmen. Most athletes are quick to tweet phrases, videos, news and even responses to their followers. The social network has also become a mean of promotional campaigns used by all major brands.
Communications agency Opendorse therefore quantified the gain for the athletes for each advertising ad coming by way of tweets. In the list, Cristiano Ronaldo was the biggest gainer, accumulating €233,686.
Amongst tennis players, Rafael Nadal was the fifth in the list with €52,247; Serena Williams, ninth with €27,415; Novak Djokovic, 12th with €23,800; Andy Murray, 15th with €16,856 and Roger Federer, 16th with €15,035.
