The unbelievable story of Kurumi Nara who lands in the wrong Charleston

Unfortunate misunderstanding for Kurumi Nara. Like it happened to Bojana Jovanovski in 2011 (the Serb arrived in Carlsbad New Mexico instead of Carlsbad California), yesterday the Japanese Player landed in Charleston, West Virginia, instead of Charleston South Carolina where the tournament takes place this week.

Nara realized it with her coach when they were already in the airplane. 'You wouldn't believe what happened - the World No. 78 wrote on her blog - My coach Natsuki (Harada) screamed: 'What?! I think we might be flying to the wrong city! It's so annoying they have two airports with the same name, it really is!' Anyway she had the strength to smile.

'I really shouldn't laugh but it did make us laugh. After a run of bad luck, good things are supposed to happen. We'll buy another ticket and go back to Atlanta and try again'. And she assured: 'I'll make sure I'm in the best shape possible and try and win my next match.' Nara beat Venus Williams last month in Indian Wells.
