After one year and a half of cooperation John Isner and his coach Justin Gimelstob have decided to part ways. The American coach explained it on his official website, giving an important reason to explain why it happened.
'Unfortunately, I am experiencing some very challenging times in my personal life and thus need to prioritize quality time with my son, along with focusing on my responsibilities with the ATP World Tour and Tennis Channel.
I will always be thankful for the opportunity to coach such an accomplished player, but more importantly such a quality person - Gimelstob said through a statement. Under Gimelstob's guide Isner got very good results like Atlanta win and Washington final last year.
It allowed him to be very close to Top 10, but he could not break it again after that in 2012 reached his best ranking at the ninth place. Now Isner will have to chose a new coach, for sure not easy considering the success he was having with Gimelstob.
It seems likely to be Mardy Fish, who is following Isner this week in Houston:
