Season is over for Bojana Jovanovski. The Serb played decided to undergo surgery in order to definitely solve the shoulder issues that are influencing her on-court performance in the last years. This is the only solution to keep playing tennis, doctors said.
This year Jovanovski played only five matches (all lost) and is World No. 129. The Serb should recover in four or five months, so she will be able to come back in January at the Australian Open, if all goes well. This is really the last chance for Jovanovski to play tennis again.
A few weeks ago she was really sad and had not found a solution yet: 'I've a chronic injury and there is not any surgery that could fix this issue. I cannot practice like a professional player does. My body does not allow me to keep going.' Simone Bolelli underwent surgery as well.
The Italian player, who is now World No. 161, has been suffering serious knee issues since the beginning of this year, and will come back next year as well.
