As the reigning Wimbledon champion was invited to see the shooting of the BBC Comedy Panel show, the World No 2 was handed the Mock the Week trophy – an addition to his trophy cabinet that has no relation to tennis at all.
It has been reported that the 29 year old is a huge of the BBC2 comedy series and was invited by the production team to see the shooting of its latest episode. Murray has previously been invited in 2012, 2013 and for a Sport Relief special edition of the show shot back in 2014.
The show host Dara O'Briain presented the MTW trophy to the Wimbledon champion to mark the 155th episode of the series. During the episode, a variety of questions had been lined up for the Wimbledon champion who could be seen enjoying himself alongside his wife, Kim Sears.
“I’ve been a huge fan of the show for a long time, and have been lucky enough to watch it filmed live.” Murray said.
