Former World No. 11 Shahar Peer To Make Marathon Debut

Tennis - Former World No. 11 Shahar Peer is all set to run the Suunto Marathon, even as she has not set out any definite plans to come back to tennis. 29-year-old Peer has dropped to 617th in the world and has not played on the tour since February this season.

Peer is the latest tennis player to run a marathon. Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki ran the New York Marathon in 2014 while Amelie Mauresmo and Kimiko Date-Krumm have both run marathons during their retired days. Here is wishing Peer the best for her marathon debut.
