John McEnroe has clear ideas about who will receive his vote when the United States goes for presidential elections in November. The former American player, who was asked by Mundo Deportivo who he will be voting for between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the upcoming elections, replied, 'For me these options are not the best you could have but for the situation in general I will vote for Hillary Clinton, even if Trump has better golf courts,' McEnroe said, adding the last part laughingly.
He won Wimbledon thrice, in 1981, 1983 and 1984, and the US Open four times in 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1984. But he never conquered the Australian Open and Roland Garros titles. 'Well, I did not play in Australia the first six or seven years of my career and it did not clearly help,' said McEnroe to Marca. 'It was always before, during or after Christmas.
What I always wanted to win was Roland Garros. I wanted to show that I could win on all the surfaces, I should have won in 1984 and 1985 as well. Probably my gamestyle did not help.' ALSO READ: Nadal Academy officially opened, Rafa/Solbas beat McEnroe/Wilander in a doubles match
