Dominic Thiem is the winner of the second Tie Break Tens event in Vienna that took place on Sunday on the Central Court of the ATP 500 tournament that will start today. The Austrian player beat Andy Murray 10-5 (games) in the final, earning $250.000.
In the groups, that were played with a tie-break format, he had beat Jo Wilfried Tsonga 10-4, Tommy Haas 10-3 and then Goran Ivanisevic 10-5 Murray defeated Marcus Willis 10-3, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 10-7 and Goran Ivanisevic 10-7.
“I obviously played the event once before and I wanted to play it again. It’s great to get onto the match court with the tournament (Vienna Open) just around the corner. To play against four top quality players was great, but unfortunately I didn’t got the result in the final', Said Murray.
