Who knows if she really believed that she could do it when she said it. On Twitter, the video that saw a 15-year-old Angelique Kerber saying that she wanted to win the Australian Open and Wimbledon got immediately viral. 'It's definitely one of my goals, I will fight for it', Kerber had said in an interview 13 years ago.
And now she has realized one of the two goals, winning the Australian Open this year beating Serena Williams in three sets.

As for Wimbledon, she came close, but lost in the final to Serena. Speaking about her amazing year, the world no. 1 recently said, 'Of course the pressure is not really big for me, but it's a new situation. I feel the pressure.
It's a different situation. I also have many more things to do in the last few days. But it's challenge for me, and I'm really trying to playing my best tennis in the last tournament, in the last week of the year.
