Canadian’s name Eugenie Bouchard as female player of the year

For the fourth straight season, tennis Canada have announced Eugenie Bouchard as the female tennis player of the year while Milos Raonic collected the men’s honors. The World No 46 had an up and down season as she managed to reach two finals in the whole year and was eliminated in the second round at the Rio Olympics.

The winners of the honors were selected by a few of the top officials from Tennis Canada while the top national coaches were also a part of the selection process. Gabriela Dabrowski was named as the country’s best doubles player for the year of 2016 while the most improved player award for the season went to Bianca Andreescu.
