In Germany a 19-year-old hits his opponent, now they will have to appear in court

Unpleasant episode in Piding, a little city of the Bavaria a few miles from Austria. In the local tournament "Hillebrand Bau Trophy", that is being played for the 36th year and that has a prize money of 1.460 euros, two young players fought.

From one side the Ukranian player Volodymyr Malakhov and from the other one the American Jan Neuburger-Higby, respectively 16 and 19 years old. Everything started from a ball that was called out althought it was very close to the line.

From then they have insulted each other, but the worst thing happened at then of the match. Neuburger-Higby hit Malakhov giving him an upper cut. Malakhov was forced to go to the hospital and couldn't play the next match.

The referee was on court only during the last game on 6-3 5-4, and there isn't any witness. Now the two players, who haven't any ATP Rankings, will have to appear in court. The Ukrainian player is accused of having insulted, the American is accused of a physical attack towards his opponent, who has a swelling and tearing Under the right eye.
