Amazing attendance numbers for the ATP/WTA of Miami!

Despite also this year there were real rumours about the event moving to another venue, for the ninth tournament in a row the Miami event welcomed 304.643 fans in total during the two weeks of the tournament between qualies and main draw matches.

Also this year Miami will almost certainly be the second most attended Masters 1000 event after Indian Wells, that had a 439.000 attendance. Surely the final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, that was watched on the grounds by 14.766 people, helped much the organizers as the event was broadcasted in 193 Countries, While 70 million people watched matches on TV.

Just to make you have an idea, on Sky Sport Italy more than million people watched the final at least for a minute. Finally, in eight sessions it was all packed. As you can understand, there were some very good Numbers also this year, but they could be even better if there was a bigger venue that could make Miami Open the fifth Grand Slam event.
