Brooklyn Decker and the shocking revelation about Andy Roddick

For a player trophies are often one of the most beautiful things in his career, but for Andy Roddick it's not like this. The former world no. 1 said goodbye to almost all of his trophies won as professional tennis player. That's what his 30-year-old wife Brooklyn Decker revealed in an interview to People.

'We have his (2003) US Open trophy. But all his other trophies Andy threw away in the garbage. It was really upsetting. He did it one day when I was out of town. [He] decided that these don’t mean success to me, these don’t define me and I don’t really care to have these material things sitting around the house, so he threw them in the trash.

I think he saved a few but they are not on display.' Roddick won 32 career-titles, he is the last American player to have won a Grand Slam title. He lost 20 finals, including 2004, 2005 and 2009 Wimbledon and the 2006 US Open, always to the Swiss Roger Federer.

The loss in his last Major final played, eight years ago, is the most painful one as he lost it 16-14 in the fifth set after having the chance to go two-sets-to-love up, ALSO READ: Andy Roddick: 'Federer was intimidating in the Grand Slam finals
