In the last few days, the host cities for the 2024 and 2028 Olympics were confirmed. Paris was chosen to host the 2024 edition, while Los Angeles will host the 2028 Games. At the 2024 Olympics, Roland Garros will be the venue for tennis, which means players will play on clay in August after Wimbledon and probably before the US Open series.
It will be the first time since 1992 Barcelona that Olympics will be played on clay, and it will also be the only second time in history that a Grand Slam venue will host the Olympic Games after Wimbledon hosted the 2012 London Games.
Roland Garros, which will be fully renovated within 2020-21 and have a retractable roof on the Philippe Chatrier, will also host boxing and Paralympic tennis, rugby, basketball and five-a-side football.
