Richard Gasquet withdraws from Caen exhibition due to injury

Richard Gasquet and injuries, here we go again. The French player has withdrawn from the Tennis Open Caen exhibition event that is scheduled to take place from Sunday December 10 to Wednesday December 13 2017 due to an abdominal injury. The World No. 31, who was one of the four members of the French Davis Cup team to win the final against Belgium, getting the doubles win alongside Pierre-Hugues Herbert against Ruben Bemelmans and Joris de Loore, has choosen to take a rest ahead of the 2018 season that for him will start in Doha.

Gasquet had played in Caen last year and reached the 2015 final. Paire joins the Spaniards Roberto Bautista Agut and David Ferrer in the field. This year Paire defeated the World No. 12 David Goffin in Metz, he also reached Wimbledon fourth round where he lost to the British Andy Murray.
