WTA Finals sets record attendance in Singapore

2017 WTA Finals featured many closes matches and culminated with Caroline Wozniacki's win over Venus Williams in the last round, and now there are numbers that prove it was a great year. 133,000 people attended the event over the eight days of competition, which is the biggest amount since 2014, when Singapore first hosted the Year-End event.

The Asian city will host WTA Finals in 2018 as well, then Manchester, St. Petersburg or a Chinese city will take it by 2019 (the decision should vome in a few days). Melissa Pine, Vice President of WTA Asia-Pacific and Tournament Director of the WTA Finals, was extremely satisfied: 'It has been yet another outstanding crown jewel event of the WTA calendar and heartiest congratulations to Caroline Wozniacki, Timea Babos and Andrea Sestini Hlavackova for capping their season on such a high', she said.
