Sloane Stephens graduates: 'The highlight of my life'

Sloane Stephens truly had her best year in life. The American player won US Open title in September. A lot of success, money and popularity, which didn't stop her in pursuing her journey at school. And she achieved it.

On Wednesday Stephens completed her B.A. in Communication Studies degree at the Indiana University East, which is Associated with a partnership from WTA. Through Internet, female players can continue their studies even if they are competing on the Tour.

'Getting my degree has been the highlight of my life', said Stephens at the degree's reception at the University. 'Education has always been very important for myself and my family. Many in my family are college graduates and receiving my degree has been a goal of mine.

I’m so excited to work closely with the WTA and Indiana University East to make this a reality. I enjoyed coming to the campus, meeting many of the people who helped me along the way and of course receiving my diploma.'
