In November last year we had given you the Central Court's speeds of all Masters 1000. Now the numbers of ATP 500 hard-courts events are available. Data are calculated by Hawk-Eye CPI (Court Pace Index), and several factors like altitude, temperature, balls, weather influence.
The Abierto Telcel of Acapulco that is played this week is the slowest event in the ATP 500 category on hard-court, with a 30.0 average speed in the first three days of the tournament. If the number is higher than 45, the court is fast, 40-44 medium-fast, 35-39 medium, 34-30 medium-slow, down 29 is slow.
Washington is the fastest one with 41, then Rotterdam and Tokyo 38, Dubai and Basel 37, Beijing 36, Vienna 33.
