Petrova/Kirilenko win bronze medal at women´s doubles event of Olympics

Nadia Petrova and Maria Kirilenko of Russia won bronze medal in women's doubles event of London Olympics 2012 after beating top seeds of USA Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond in a 3 setter match. The score was 4-6,6-4,6-1.

Russian pair who lost to eventual champions and three time Olympic Gold medallist pair of Williams sisters lost the first set 4-6 after a very well contested game which took 46 minutes. Second set was even more contesting as it took 55 minutes and went on serve until 10th game of the set in which Russians broke American pair to take the set.

In third set Petrova and Kirilenko broken their opponents in the 4th game and then never looked back as they won 5 straight games and the set in just 38 minutes to take the bronze medal for Russia.
