David Ferrer has become a father for the first time. On Friday the Spanish tennis player posted a photo on his Instagram featuring him and his son, Leo, in his arms. 'Very special day', the 36-year-old wrote. Ferrer has not been playing on the ATP Tour since the Miami Open, where he lost to the German Alexander Zverev in the third round.
He last played a match in general in the Davis Cup, winning the decisive tie against Philipp Kohlschreiber. The former world No. 3 has withdrawn from four clay-court events where he always did well: Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Estoril and Madrid.
Now he is set to be back at the Rome Masters, then will play French Open.
