Tennis - The Australian Open has slashed ticket prices for all levels with the starting price of a Centre Court ticket being cut by $15 during for the day session and $20 for the night session, according to World Wide of Sport.
Entry-level tickets to the men's final in 2019 will be $305, as compared to $415 in 2018 and a ticket to the women's final will cost $148, as compared to $203 in 2018. The ground passes which enable fans to access all the outdoor courts will continue to remain unchanged at $49 per pass.
Tennis Australia Commerical Chief Richard Heaselgrave commented, “The Australian Open 2019 will offer fans an even more affordable entry price point into Rod Laver Arena and will increase the options for all tennis fans.
It’s a great thing that the tournament can offer even better value tickets to every match on the incredible Rod Laver Arena, while at the same time empowering fans by giving them more choice. With access to incredible world-class tennis on all the outside courts and Melbourne Arena, along with so many entertainment and food offerings, an Australian Open ground pass is the best value ticket in town." The 2019 tournament will run from 14th January 2019 to 27th January 2019.
