Through an interview to Spanish Magazine Hola Ana Boyer, Fernando Verdasco's wife announced she is pregnant. They live in Doha, Qatar, although Verdasco travels around the world very often. 'We learned it at the end of August, in the United States.
We were so happy', explained Ana Boyer. 'The baby will be born in late April, I am on the third month.' The little creature's genre is unknown as well as the name. 'The most important thing is that he is healthy.
At the moment, I only visited the doctor once. Fernando could not accompany me because he was travelling but he saw everything through mobile phone: exam... It was very emotional for us. Fernando loves children. I think he will be a very nice and fun father.' Boyer also added she does not feel any pain so far and she wears outfits in a normal way.
She does not know where the baby will be born: 'In Madrid or Doha. In April 18 I will turn 30. If he will be born exactly on that day it would be a nice birthday gift.' Commenting on how the family reacted to the news, Boyer added: 'Grandparents will be happy.
For Fernando's parents, it will be the first nephew. My mum loves children.' Verdasco ends the 2018 season as world No. 28, having achieved some great results like the Rio Open final losing to Diego Schwartzman, Miami third round, French Open fourth round losing to Novak Djokovic, Bastad and Shenzhen semis.
He will probably start the new season at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
