As Eugenie Bouchard's tennis performances became inconsistent and lackluster a few years ago, it appears her social life had gained in notoriety and prominence. "Approach me, I won't bite," she'd mention on her social platforms.
It was even her media accounts which climbed in acceptance, everything but winning titles in her tennis career. It was some days ago Bouchard was decked out in a skimpy bathing suit and cowboy hat frolicking on the beach in Miami, a tennis tournament there which she had withdrawn.
Many had professed it to be that the flamboyant Canadian was on a photoshoot junket and not just matter-of-factly showing skin with a cowboy hat. Whatever the situation, Bouchard had decided to take a break from tennis to re-group and become rejuvenated, finding her form and being victorious upon her return.
The last time she played on a competitive stance of tennis was at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand in January. She'd reached the quarterfinals and partnered in doubles with Sofia Kenin. It was a great decision and they made it to the finals winning against Paige Mary Hourigan and Taylor Townsend.
This win made Bouchard's first doubles title and the first ever title since May of 2014, winning in Nurnberg over Karolina Pliskova. It was a year later in 2015 she sustained a concussion at the U.S. Open after a match and afterwards falling from the top 10.
There was a rough couple of years with recurrent symptoms and then going only to the first or second rounds of many tournaments. But Bouchard is starting to be known for her raunchy outfits off the court be it a Sports Illustrated photoshoot or just wanting to have fun and dressing the part on the beach.
She's gone from dating an internet fan after he'd won a Super Bowl bet with her to wearing a bikini sending messages to her over a million Instagram fans on Valentine's Day. Despite all Eugenie Bouchard naturally wants to have success on the court but satisfaction in her personal life too.
She allegedly proclaimed that she's not only looking for a tennis title but that ideal man and coaxes her readers to direct message her. While the plight goes on for her personal success, Eugenie has decided to put her tennis career on the back burner.
This has left fans and the tournament directors in limbo as to when Bouchard will come back and the caliber she'll be in to face the young upcoming and talented women players of the WTA. Eugenie Bouchard has described herself as the beginning of the season as 'lonely and bored'
Everyone, especially in the tennis community, hopes that she finds her 'Prince Charming' and then maybe her professional tennis game will follow with more success than it did months ago.
