Australia's ANZ has signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the Shanghai Rolex Masters to become the tennis tournament’s international banking and finance partner.
The terms of the deal have not been released. ANZ is one the leading banks in the Australian region.
The press release quoted ‘ANZ will also gain naming rights to the China Tennis Development Program, a grassroots initiative aimed at developing young talent and supporting the growth of tennis in China.’
Joyce Phillips, chief executive of ANZ global wealth and private banking, said: “The Shanghai Rolex Masters has quickly become one of the pre-eminent events on the global tennis calendar reaching a worldwide audience of more than 45 million.”
The Shanghai Masters is one of the nine ATP Masters Series events and is held in the fall season after the US Open.
