Caroline Wozniacki and the NBA star David Lee got married in Tuscany region, Italy, on Saturday last week. Serena Williams was among the special guests. In an interview to Ekstra Bladet, Wozniacki's father and coach Piotr said: "It was a day that meant a lot to both our families.
It's been a fantastic experience. It was wild to see so many different people be so friendly and happy together. Lots of fun things were arranged, like a mock Olympics with twelve teams in different coloured T-shirts, and Thursday evening's dinner ended with a pool party where people jumped in with their clothes on -- in their good clothes too.
Of course, I was proud and happy. It's nice to see two people who love each other get married. It was a day that meant a lot to both our families. It was huge for us." Wozniacki herself spoke about her season: "It hasn't been a great year for me so far.
And I'm just going to try and work hard and try to turn that around. Right now there's not much I can do about the first six months of the season. I had some good weeks where I felt great, and then I've had some weeks where I've been sick and some weeks where I've been injured.
So I just have to try and stay positive, and obviously it's not as easy to stay positive when things aren't going your way, but I think that's when you really need to and you need to just keep grinding."
