Wheaties recently announced that former World No.1 and one of the legends of the sport - Serena Williams will be the next athlete to adorn the cover of Wheaties iconic orange box. “Serena exemplifies all of the personal attributes that Wheaties looks for when choosing who its next champion will be,” said Tiffani Daniels, marketing manager for Wheaties.
“On the court, she has been named the women’s most valuable player seven times, while off the court she uses her voice to inspire and spark change to make the world a better place”. With 23 Grand Slams to her name in Singles and 14 Grand Slams in Doubles along with Olympic Gold medals in Singles and Doubles, Williams has established herself as one of the greatest of all times.
Speaking about this association, Williams added, “I am so excited to be on the cover of the next Wheaties box. I have dreamt of this since I was a young woman and it’s an honour to join the ranks of some of America’s most decorated athletes.
I hope my image on this iconic orange box will inspire the next generation of girls and athletes to dream big”. Williams has also made a name for herself in various off-court campaigns she taken up which focus a lot on gender and racial equality.
Williams was also recently seen attending good friend and fellow WTA player - Caroline Wozniacki's wedding in Tuscany where the Dane married David Lee.
