Former World No. 5 Kevin Anderson organized a charity event in Boca Raton towards his Courtside Cause fundraiser. Anderson was joined by the Bryan Brothers, Mike and Bob, and WTA stars Shelby Rogers and Coco Gauff for the event, which turned out to be a great success.
Several items from tennis players and other prominent personalities were also auctioned off and the proceeds from the auction will go towards several charitable foundations that help children in primary education, animals from the shelter, as well as protect the environment.
Anderson was supported by his wife, Kelsey Anderson, who has played a major role in making the event taking place. The next exhibition event will be held in Palm Beach on February 8, 2020. As per their website, Anderson is partnering with First Serve to help benefit the local charity’s mission of engaging, educating and empowering young students and organizations such as South Florida dog rescue Dezzy's Second Chance and Ocean Conservancy's Trash Free Seas Alliance.
Anderson has not played since Wimbledon this year due to injuries and has currently dropped to No. 91 in the rankings. He is scheduled to return to the tour in January in Australia and will be working with a new coach - Diego Monayo - in the new season.
Huge thanks to all who made our 3rd #CourtsideCause possible yesterday! The players, Mike Kosta, Boca Grove, event team, volunteers, ball kids, sponsors, donors, attendees, my wife @KelseyOAnderson - you all helped us raise a lot of money for great causes 🙏
