French tennis stars Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, both former Top 10 players, are training together during the off-season in Marrakech, Morocco. The duo are part of a training camp organized by the All in Academy, a tennis academy based in France.
The camp is being supervised by Thierry Ascione, of the All in Academy, who is also the present coach of Tsonga. 33-year-old Gasquet is ranked No. 61 in the world currently while 34-year-old Tsonga is ranked No. 29 in the world.
Gasquet has been struggling with a knee injury in recent months due to which he had to pull out of the Paris Masters in Bercy in November. Both players are hoping to be back to their best for the upcoming Australian summer circuit.
This is the first time since 2004 that Gasquet has finished the year ranked outside the Top 60 in the world rankings. Tsonga was nominated for the ATP Comeback Player of the year award this time, after climbing from outside the Top 200 at the start of the year to finish in the Top 30.
Three other French players - 25-year-old Grégoire Barrère (ranked No. 82 in the world), 26-year-old Tristan Lamasine (ranked No. 222 in the world) and 25-year-old Mathias Bourgue (ranked No. 232 in the world) are also part of the training camp.
