Ukraine's Elina Svitolina made one fan very happy by offering her tickets to watch her second round match at the Australian Open on Thursday. One of her fans, who goes by Eli fan Japan (@0maywta0) on Twitter posted an update on the social media site, saying "Noooooo.
Elina's match on MCA tomorrow...I have a RLA ticket...can't watch." Svitolina was scheduled to play the American Lauren Davis on the Margaret Court Arena but her fan had a ticket for the main court at Melbourne Park, the Rod Laver Arena.
Word managed to get to Svitolina on the social media site, who then told the fan that she would arrange a ticket for her for the Margaret Court Arena so that she could watch her match. Svitolina tweeted, "DM me your name and I will leave tickets for you!" The Ukrainian managed to win on Thursday as she beat American Davis 6-3, 7-6 and advance to the third round where she will meet former World No.
1 and two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza on Saturday. The fan was obviously ecstatic at the chance to watch Svitolina and even met her on Friday to thank her for her incredible gesture.
