Former World No. 2 Agnieszka Radwanska, of Poland, has revealed on her social media account that she will become a mother. The Pole put up a photo with the caption - The time has come for a new stage in life☺️🤰#happy #familyisgettingbigger #imgoingtobeamommy This would be the first child for Radwanska with husband Dawid Celt, who was her hitting partner earlier.
The pair married in 2017. Her wedding was attended by a number of fellow WTA stars including Caroline Wozniacki, Angelique Kerber, her younger sister Urszula Radwanska, and former Polish No.1 Marta Domachowska. Radwanska is the latest recently-retired WTA star to announce her pregnancy in recent months, after former French Open finalist Lucie Safarova, who gave birth to her daighter in December and former World No.4 Dominika Cibulkova - who announced her pregnancy in December.
The Pole won twenty career singles titles and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2 in July 2012. She won the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Fan Favourite Award six times and Shot of the Year five times.
She announced her retirement from the game in November 2018.
