Julien Benneteau Does Not Support On Court Coaching

The French Fed Cup captain, Julien Benneteau, is not in favour of on-court coaching which the WTA plans to introduce in select tournaments in the coming months. Benneteau posted his point of view on Twitter as to why on-court coaching should not be allowed on the tour - 1 / Debate on coaching on the tennis court: follow me, not all players travel with a full-time coach for lack of means, therefore a problem of fairness.

Then one of the roles of a great coach is to make his player autonomous. 2 / to do the job upstream so that he or she finds the solutions on the ground. The coach does not need to show himself on the screen to hear what he is saying to be recognized.

3 / recognition, the coach obtains it when a player wants to work with him by paying him and obviously by obtaining results Sweden's Magnus Norman also provided his views in a response to Benneteau's tweet, agreeing with the French Fed Cup captain.
