Former World No. 1 Kim Clijsters' comeback will continue at the Volvo Car Open in Charleston where she will also play doubles with former US Open champion Sloane Stephens, the tournament organizers confirmed via a tweet on their Twitter account.
Clijsters has lost in the first round of her first two tournaments during her comeback - at the WTA Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships where she lost to Spain's Garbine Muguruza and at the Monterrey Open where she lost to Johanna Konta.
The four-time Grand Slam champion says she is improving as her comeback continues and plans to play the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, a tournament she won twice, followed by the Volvo Car Open, which would be her first clay court tournament since 2011.
The tournament has already attracted a stellar field - with 5 of the world's Top 10 players confirmed for the event - World No. 1 Ash Barty, World no. 2 Simona Halep, World No. 5 Sofia Kenin, World No. 6 Kiki Bertens and World No.

The event takes place between April 4 – 12, 2020 and is the 48th edition of the Charleston Open tournament and a Premier level tournament.
