The reactions to the suspension of the tennis tours continue to come in from the players. Former World No. 1 Garbine Muguruza, winner of the 2016 French Open and 2017 Wimbledon Championships, posted a message on Twitter saying, "It is time to stop and wait.
Take care of yourself and others around you, and be safe." Meanwhile, big serving Croatian Ivo Karlovic posted two updates on his Twitter account, the first on undergoing a training camp during the suspension and the other about social distancing, a joke on his height.
Karlovic first commented, 'Tennis suspended for 6 weeks. Another off season training camp again. Just what I needed.' and later posted another tweet, 'CDC recommends Social distancing to prevent Coronavirus. I’ve been doing it since early 2000s' The ATP Tour has suspended all events for the next six weeks while the WTA Tour has canceled the next few events and will make a review of the events on the European clay court season in the coming week.
Toca parar y esperar. Cuidaros y cuidad a los de vuestro alrededor. Manteneros a salvo.
It is time to stop and wait. Take care of yourself and others around you, and be safe.
