Wozniacki and her husband escape Africa to enter “self-quarantine” at home

Caroline Wozniacki and her husband David Lee felt relieved after they managed to find a way home from Africa, where they have most probably been stuck due to the emergency measures that have been implemented by the authorities to combat the coronavirus outbreak.

“We got stuck in Africa but finally on our way home! Going to self-quarantine as soon as we get back! Stay safe everyone!” wrote Wozniacki on Instagram. Caroline and David Lee, a former NBA player who played for New York Knicks, are going back to Denmark, where they will isolate themselves.

The quarantine time they will have to experience in the following period is putting an end to Wozniacki’s post-retirement travelling plans. The former world number one kept connected with her fans after she said goodbye to the tennis world in January.

Since finishing her last tournament, the 2020 edition of Australian Open, the Danish player has gone swimming with the dolphins – “swimming with wild dolphins in their natural habitat was a bucket list experience!” she wrote on Instagram – and has challenged her body multiple times by bathing in ice-cold water – “As we are embarking on a new adventure with the family, I am pushing limits I never thought I would.

This water is 1-2 degrees celsius. 1 week ago there would be no chance I would even put my foot in”. said Caroline. Of course, David Lee was next to her wife in every adventure. Wozniacki and Lee got married on June 15, 2019, at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, Italy.
