Amanda Anisimova on coronavirus: “What is going on is devastating”

Amanda Anisimova, the 18 years old wonder of the WTA tour, gave some tips on how people can make self-isolation more enjoyable and showed appreciation for the work put in by people around the world to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

“Sending my love and prayers to anyone who is struggling and reading this. What is going on is devastating. This has caused so many people their lives, health, jobs, etc. It’s amazing seeing how many people have been working so hard to fight this and be in this together.

Count your blessings, it’s a good time for some of us to reflect on life and be grateful for everything we have. Stay at home as much as possible and follow the safety rules. We’ll get through this”. wrote Anisimova on Instagram.

Besides the above message, Anisimova encouraged people to stay at home during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic by joining Nike’s new ad campaign. “If you ever dreamed of playing for millions around the world, now is your chance,” the ad reads.

“Play inside, play for the world”. Other famous world-class athletes like Tiger Woods, Cristiano Ronaldo, Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova have joined the brand’s latest campaign, as well. The common message among their social media posts is “Now, more than ever, we are one team”.

Until now, the coronavirus pandemic infected more than 300,000 people, among which almost 100,000 have recovered and over 13,000 were killed, according to worldometers.info.
