Former US Open champion Sloane Stephens has started a fundraiser for students and teachers in Haiti. The 27 year old Stephens says on the fundraising page - "Can you imagine climbing 200 flights of stairs every day simply to access clean water, and education, and healthcare? The children and families in Marre-a-Coiffe, Haiti do just that.
I'm taking the Hike for Haiti Challenge to raise awareness and funds to help provide students and teachers in Haiti with vital support. The month of April 17 - May 17, we'll be hiking 200 flights of stairs in solidarity.
Want to help? Support by making a donation to my page, or by joining and making the hike yourself! Mesi anpil! Thank you! Stephens is working on the challenge with her fiance Jozy Altidore. Below are some of the posts she shared on her social media account as well.
The #HikeForHaiti challenge starts today - very excited to be participating in such a good cause.
